29 Aug 2023 - 5 Stars+++ First time here - what a fantastic facility. I'm from out of state and visited with my 87-year-old disabled father. The facility is set up nicely for all ages. I saw young kids, young adults, mid-aged adults, and older folks all using different areas. The wide variety of activities and equipment makes this remarkable.

One of the best rec centers in the state! It’s newer and really nice! Spacious with an indoor and small outdoor pool. Fun environment, perfect place to take the family! They keep they pool open during ALL Of September! They also warm the outside pool the last part of September so it’s super warm and pleasant! No other pool does this and we’re super grateful for it and love it! The only reason I don’t give it a five star is because in the cold season the pool isn’t well heated it’s typically a little chilly making it less fun.

We really like coming here. The outdoor area is fantastic in the summer with the lounge chairs and umbrellas - the kids love the pool - it's not as deep. There is a big outdoor connect 4 game they can play, too. This week was shark week, and there were fun games for the kids to play. I wish the lifeguards were more strict with making sure parents have swim diapers and covers on their little ones. The pool was closed once for an hour, and then when everyone was allowed back in, they had to do another pool check soon after. Luckily, it was a false alarm. We have the app, and we receive messages quite frequently that the pool is closed for x amout of hours due to sanitation. 1)I wish there were signs posted to remind parents what is required for a baby or toddler who is not potty trained to swim. 2) I also wish there were signs posted to remind kids to use the bathroom. I think there would be fewer sanitation instances. On to the slides and height requirements; I have a little one who is 48 inches exactly, and she slides down the blue slide all day. Then, a random lifeguard will tell her she's too short. We realize that the lifeguards are there to protect our kids, but the inconsistencies need to stop. There should be a way to have kiddos measured at the beginning of the day - give them a wristband and then not worry about it. Our little one has been waiting all summer to be tall enough - she finally is, and lifeguard inconsistencies made her a sad little girl. She always asks to go to the Provo Recreation Center because there she can ride all the slides with no height restrictions. Overall, we enjoy coming - we would love for management to address the sanitation issue and the height issue for the slides.

The front desk staff are great, but that is where the service ends. I have never had a positive interaction with the life guards unfortunately. They all look incredibly bored until they want to harass you about a silly rule that nobody knows about. I learned today that the splash pool is for looking, not touching. And forget about trying to use the lazy river with kids! It appears that the "play structures" in the kiddy pool are for the visual pleasure of those who choose to walk against the current in the lazy river. These patrons regularly get upset when there are children going with the flow of the lazy river. The kids were so confused about what they were actually allowed to do...also, not enough family changing rooms. After an exercise class, there were way too many single patrons that took the family dressing rooms and forced me to take my baby into the regular dressing room. Really uncomfortable about all of the comments patrons made about her, and forget about trying to get your adult self dressed while trying to wrangle a baby in the big dressing room.

Clean facility! Love all the classes offered. Instructors are full of energy and fun. I do wish when I joined they took me on a tour to explain how things are done. Lockers, showers, and app to sign up for classes were not explained from front desk workers.

Though I’ve only been here twice, I’ve greatly enjoyed it both times! We were here as part of a birthday party, and the pool definitely had attractions for all ages. The lazy river is fun for adults and kids to go around, the in pool basket ball court is fun, though not many people were playing with the hoops while we were there. The slides were fantastic! Normally I’m kind of a one and done person with slides, but on these ones I kept going back for more! The pool was pretty empty on a Thursday evening- I would definitely go back, and recommend it to others!

Clyde rec center has super friendly staff, awesome classes, fun activities, great equipment, and a family friendly pool. It is much smaller than the Provo rec, but I prefer the smaller crowds.
